The reason why interior is important (Part 2)

(Continued from the first part)

Japan has achieved economic growth on the basis of rationalism since post-war reconstruction. Even today, many houses are built on the basis of such ideas, and as a result, the majority of them are uniform houses that do not have much personality.

Today's houses are all similar as if to say "simple is the best". Although there are some differences in the exterior and floor plan, most of the interiors have been styled like "white walls and flooring" for a long time.

However, how about turning to Europe and the United States? Starting with the colors of the colorful walls, you can see many interiors full of personality, such as decorations and furniture that can feel the taste of that person. Also, even Japanese people who have lived abroad have their own unique homes. Cultures are different in Japan and abroad, but it is the people who live there who nurture that culture. In other words, living is a very important factor in nurturing a unique culture.

Just as people have various personalities, I think individuality should be reflected more in the house. By doing so, I think that people's sensitivity will increase, an environment that is easy to nurture cultural development will be created, and it will be a society where various values and ideas can coexist.

Unlike before, people now have different ways of working and living. The era of economic growth that has lasted for a long time in Japan has come to an end, and it is necessary to cultivate new ideas and cultures that will change into it. Isn't it time to break away from the modernist ideas of the past and start creating diverse homes based on new values and ways of thinking?
