X-girl was launched in 1994 by Sonic Youth's Kim Gordon and X-Large's Daisy Von Firth. In the same year, he welcomed Sophia Coppola and Spike Jones as producers and held a legendary guerrilla fashion show that made a woman who hunted in Soho, New York, as a model to walk the runway.
Angela Hill, a British photographer who happened to be present at the show and one of the founders of the London-based publisher and bookstore "IDEA", captured the historic scene on film. After that, the nega was missing without being printed, but was found at Angela Hill's home in 2024. This book is a photo book published based on the nega.
Chloe Seviny, who participated as a model at the time, foreworded, and the icons of downtown NY, such as Kim Gordon's friends and Michelle Rockwood, who also became the model for the brand's face logo, spontaneously gathered. It vividly depicts the full picture of the historical moment. A one-of-a-kind document book that copies the independent culture of the 90s itself. Limited to 500 copies.
