Tom Dixon - Mirror Ball 50 Pendant LED
Mirror Ball was designed by British interior designer Tom Dixon, inspired by the helmets worn by astronauts in extravehicular spacesuits. The name comes from the fact that a metal film is applied to polycarbonate to create a mirror-like effect, and the collection was designed as lighting that blends into its environment, reflecting the surrounding scenery. When turned off, its minimalist spherical form and mirrored finish achieved through vacuum deposition create a silent object that blends in with any interior. When lit, the design reflects and diffuses light downward, creating an iconic presence like a mirror ball in the center of a dance floor.
