"MARGIELA, THE HERMÈS YEARS" is an exhibition focusing on the period when Belgian fashion designer Martin Margiela served as women's creative director for French luxury house Hermès from 1997 to 2003. The exhibition was held in Antwerp, Belgium, Paris, France, and Stockholm, Sweden from 2017 to 2019, and the catalogue published at the time includes collections, image photographs, drawings, and more that Margiela worked on.

This pivotal period in 20th and 21st century fashion is evoked through interviews with Margiela's closest collaborators, extensive essays by dress and textile historian Rebecca Arnold, Modem Museum curator Kaat d'Abo, and fashion journalist Sarah Mower, as well as an introduction by journalist and fashion critic Suzy Menkes.

This book weaves together the story of the exquisite wardrobes the artist created for Hermès through previously unpublished material from the Maison Martin Margiela archives, numerous striking and exquisitely refined images from Le Monde Hermès, the quarterly magazine published by Hermès for its customers, and newly added photographic materials, making it a must-have for all fashionistas. First published in 2018, this book was reprinted in 2024.
