"Untitled" by Christopher Wool and Felix Gonzalez-Torres , leading contemporary artists in the United States , 1993 (The Show is Over) is a collaboration between two of New York's best conceptual artists for an exhibition at Dia in New York in 1993.
The text is the work of Christopher Wool, a quote from Belgian writer Raul Vaneijam's "Revolution of Everyday Life", and Wool's 1990, which applied to the infamous text by radical Russian revolutionary Vasily Rozanov It is based on the painting of the year. In 1967, Raul Vanaigem defended the then-forgotten text as the perfect expression of nihilism and made it the central text of the Situationist International. Here, Wool makes space, avoids automatic interpretation, and confuses the syntax of the phrase to raise questions about the meaning of the representation of the painting itself.
Felix Gonzalez-Tres is an artist famous for his minimalist art and installations using piles of candy, light bulbs, and bundles of paper. This is "Paper Stack" It was produced as a product, and the process of death was expressed by having the audience take back a pile of paper and the work itself disappeared, and the "stacked" poster was said to be able to take home one piece per person. It was used in the installation.
Since the 1993 exhibition, installations have been made in museums around the world several times in the past, and this poster was used in the installation of the Gagosian Gallery in London, England in 2013.
