By adding a modern twist to the designer's perspective through traditional Asian lanterns with modern expression, Jaime Hayon has created a design that expresses the fusion of Eastern and Western designs. Lanterns have been used for a long time in Asia, and there are various shapes, sizes, and colors depending on the region and culture, and have developed as lighting equipment, regardless of the difference between rich and poor, from the aristocracy to the public. This time, Jaime Hayon simplified some of the cultural essences and unified the color of the shade with white. Shades that combine various sizes and shapes are made by craftsmen one by carefully pasting paper to the skeleton one by one. This series consists of three different types of lanterns and table lamps made of ivory white paper with black-stained oak accents.
