What do you want from your home?
I think everyone is the same as "looking for a comfortable living space", but the specific definition of that comfort varies from person to person. I think there are many people who attach importance to comfort and functionality and efficiency.
Function and efficiency are essential factors directly related to comfort, so I don't think everyone will change much, but the definition of comfort varies greatly. In fact, the personality is hidden there.
There are various hobbies and preferences, such as those who want to live in a simple and modern house, those who like a luxurious and sparkling home, or a room surrounded by vintage furniture. However, in reality, isn't the residence of many people "a space just to live"?
I visit various people's homes due to my work, but I have the impression that there are many houses with similar interiors in Japan. There is also an aspect that it can't be helped that condominiums and construction sales tend to be uniform, but in fact, the reality is that even if it is a custom-made house, it is not much different from construction and sale unless there is too much attention. In general, if you prioritize function and efficiency, the shape of the building will be determined by itself.
For us, "the space where we spend the longest time in our lives" is where we live. Wouldn't it be too lonely for the space where you spend that precious time to end only with function and efficiency?
Even in the home, functions and efficiency are getting better and better, but it is not "improved productivity = happiness". The real thing is after I start living in a house. The most important thing is not "what kind of house to live in", but "how to live", which will have a great impact on your life after that.
Even though it's my home, it's still the same as when I bought it, or it's a waste to be the same as people.
